The meteorological service, whose main purpose is to provide meteorological information in order to assure the safety, efficiency and regularity of aeronautical operations, is composed of the 3 departments: Forecast, Observation and Climatology.

The forecast department’s mission is to determine the most likely meteorological conditions which can be expected at a certain time in a certain region.

The observation department mainly performs weather observations.
